About this plant
Lower and denser than its giant cousin, Strelitzia reginae stands out for its spectacular flowers, bright orange and deep blue, that appear on mature, well-lit plants.
In Morocco it is as much a plant for sunny patios and terraces as for very bright interiors. It tolerates heat, sea spray and occasional dry spells once established.
Patience: flowering rewards plants of four to five years placed in full sun.
