About this plant
Agave attenuata has the graphic power of agaves without their spines. Its broad blue-grey leaves curl into a perfect rosette up to a metre across, carried with age on a short leaning trunk.
In a terrace pot or a bed at the foot of a palm, it draws a form that reads instantly, at ease with minimalist architecture and adobe walls alike. It needs very little water and tolerates salt.
Its sap can irritate skin and pets: handle it with gloves.

Care
Caring for your plant
Watering
One watering every two to three weeks in summer, none in winter. The mix must dry out completely.
Light
Sun or bright half-shade. In inland heatwaves, afternoon shade keeps the leaves flawless.
Feeding
Optional: a diluted cactus feed in spring.
Temperature
Frost-sensitive below −2 °C: perfect on the coast, protect in winter in Fes, Meknes or Oujda.
