The specimen

About this plant

The ZZ plant grows as a spray of fleshy stems carrying pairs of thick, deep green, glossy leaves. Its underground rhizomes store water, letting it go weeks without watering.

It likes medium light and tolerates dim rooms, air-conditioned offices and busy lobbies. Its measured growth makes it a tidy plant that keeps its proportions for a long time.

A safe choice for an office, bedroom or entrance hall.

Caring for your plant

  • Watering

    Water every two to three weeks once the soil is fully dry. In winter, once a month.

    Medium to low indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which yellows the leaves.
