The specimen

About this plant

The Madagascar dragon tree grows as slender trunks, often planted in twos or threes of different heights, each topped with a crown of fine dark green leaves edged in purple. Its silhouette recalls a miniature tree and suits the clean lines of contemporary interiors.

Very tolerant, it accepts medium light, spaced-out watering and dry office air. In Morocco it also lives in sheltered outdoor spots on the coast, where it gains vigour.

A structural plant, durable and undemanding.
