The specimen

About this plant

Golden pothos is the most accommodating climbing plant for interiors. Its heart-shaped leaves, splashed with yellow, follow one another along stems that can reach several metres.

Hanging, it dresses a wall or bookcase; on a coco-fibre pole it forms a dense column with ever-larger leaves. It tolerates medium light and roots from cuttings in a simple glass of water.

Ideal for greening a space quickly and without fuss.

Care

Caring for your plant

  • Watering

    Water when the top few centimetres are dry, about every seven to ten days. The leaves droop slightly when it is thirsty.

  • Light

    Medium to bright indirect light; more light brings more golden marbling.

  • Feeding

    Liquid feed every four weeks in spring and summer.

  • Temperature

    From 15 to 32 °C; sensitive to cold draughts.

  • Trailing or climbing, to suit the space
