About this plant
Cycas is not a palm but a living fossil, and it shows: its rigid fronds, arranged in a symmetrical crown around a stocky trunk, look drawn with a compass. Each year a new crown unfurls over a few weeks in a tender green that later deepens.
Precious in its slowness, it suits a large entrance pot, a shaded patio or a pool bed, adding a graphic note without ever sprawling.
Note: every part is toxic to pets, especially the seeds.

Caring for your plant
Watering
Let it dry between waterings: every ten days in summer, monthly in winter. Overwatering is its only enemy.
Light
Morning sun or bright filtered light. Afternoon full sun in Marrakech can scorch young fronds.
Feeding
Diluted palm feed twice a year, spring and summer. Nothing in winter.
Temperature
Tolerates down to −5 °C in dry soil. Bring potted specimens in below 0 °C.
