About this plant
Hibiscus opens new hand-sized flowers every morning, in an intense pink that contrasts with its dark glossy foliage. Each flower lasts a single day, but the plant produces them relentlessly from May until the first cold.
It loves heat and light, but also air humidity, which makes it a shrub of choice for coastal gardens and pool surroundings. In a planter it enjoys regular watering and a potash-rich feed.
Safe for pets, it is a classic of Moroccan hotel terraces.

Caring for your plant
Watering
Regular: two to three times a week in pots in summer, never letting it dry out fully nor sit soaked.
Light
Full sun on the coast; in Marrakech, morning sun and light afternoon shade prolong flowering.
Feeding
Potash-rich feed every two weeks from May to September to sustain flowering.
Temperature
Ideal above 15 °C. Frost-tender: bring in or shelter potted plants below 5 °C in the interior.
