The specimen

About this plant

From Marrakech to the Draa valley, the date palm draws Morocco's skyline. Its even trunk and crown of rigid fronds make it the architectural specimen par excellence for an avenue, a villa entrance or a poolside.

We select palms with a well-formed trunk, acclimatised to full sun and ready to plant. It withstands extreme heat, poor soils and some salinity, asking above all for light and space.

A tree that gives a project scale and nobility from day one.

Care

Caring for your plant

  • Watering

    Deep watering every ten days in the first year, then every fifteen to twenty days in summer. It dislikes standing water.

  • Light

    Unrestricted full sun, away from shadows cast by buildings.

  • Feeding

    Slow-release palm feed in spring, topped with surface compost.

  • Temperature

    Withstands over 50 °C and passing frosts down to −6 °C. No protection needed anywhere in Morocco.
