About this plant
Calathea orbifolia unfolds almost circular leaves of soft green striped with regular silver bands. They rise in the evening and lower in the morning, a slow movement that betrays its origin in the Brazilian understorey.
It asks for soft light, high ambient humidity and low-lime water. In return it offers one of the most beautiful foliages there is, never exceeding a metre.
Place it away from air-conditioners, in a bedroom or living room with filtered light.
