Advice for this space

    Planters sized for the tree

    An olive tree or a terrace palm needs at least 60 cm of depth and real drainage. Too small a planter limits growth and doubles the watering.

  2. 02

    Mulch to hold the water

    A 5 cm layer of gravel or bark over the mix clearly reduces evaporation and protects the roots from the heat radiated by pale surfaces.

  3. 03

    Drip irrigation for time away

    On an exposed terrace, a timer connected to a drip line remains the most reliable solution through the hottest weeks.
