Advice for this space
- 01
One to two metres from the window
Most large indoor foliage wants bright but indirect light. Pressed against a south-facing window the leaf burns; five metres away the plant stretches and thins.
- 02
Away from air-conditioning vents
A cold, dry draught crisps leaf tips within weeks. Move the pot a metre aside, or angle the vent towards the ceiling.
- 03
A quarter turn every month
Plants grow towards the light. Turning the pot regularly keeps the silhouette balanced instead of leaning towards the window.
