The concept

The guiding idea

An English-structured garden in Mediterranean species: bay and cypress hedges, pittosporum spheres, pomegranate and bitter orange as specimens.

The owner wanted clean perspectives and discreet flowering. We drew three garden rooms separated by cypress hedges, punctuated with pomegranates and bitter oranges, with a carpet of creeping rosemary under the existing trees. The lawn was halved in favour of gravel paths.
